人生には奇跡しか起こらない。どんなに変わり映えのしなく思える人生も、ちいさな偶然やなにげない選択をひとつ足したり引いたりするだけで、まったく異なった人生になってしまう。
いろいろなヴォネガットが、カフカがゴッホがガロアがソクラテスが、マイケル・シェンカーが存在したはずである。
生命が奇跡であるというよりも、生命は奇跡を検出し保存するシステムである。人生は無数の奇跡による巨大建造物だ。

世界が多世界に分岐し、いろいろなブローティガンが存在するとすれば、ぼくたちの世界のブローティガンは、すごく純度の高いブローティガンだと思う。ブローティガンの中でもほんとうに稀少なブローティガンだった(それは、このブローティガン自身にとっては、幸運ではなかったかもしれないけれども)。
『芝生の復讐』を読んでいると、読者は少しブローティガンになってしまう。ブローティガンの中でも特別なブローティガンの心にだけ映じたものを、ちらりと垣間見る。
ブローティガンになってみる必要のある人は、たくさんはいないかもしれないが、『芝生の復讐』をそれと知ってあるいはそれと知らずに探して訪れた御客様に、『芝生の復讐』を手渡す事が出来ない書店は不完全な書店だ。昨日まで、不完全な書店しかなかったのだ。

最後の審判の日にもしも、神様がみどり書房に来たら、特別な日だからひさしぶりに髭をあたってさっぱりした神様に、『芝生の復讐』をおすすめする。
神様にとってぼくたちの一瞬は永遠にひとしいから、すぐに読み終わるだろう。
神様の表情はぼくには計り知れないけれど、勇気を持って質問してみる。
「この作家は自殺したんですけど、この人を地獄に送るの？」
相変わらずの気紛れコメントで失礼します。<br>いつぞやは偉そうに「一歩」と言いましたが、「二歩進んで三歩下がる」といった日々です（進んでないし！）。<br>ブローティガンが復刊されたのは喜ばしい限りですが、不完全な書店、いやむしろ「完全な書店」というものを私は恐怖します。私にとって書店はまずは怖い場所です。そんなつもりはなかったのに、気づいたら疲労困憊するまで居座った（実際には立ち歩いているからもっと疲れる）挙げ句、「今日のお財布」が心細くなってしまうほどの。ちょっと怖い書店、そうでもない書店、とてもとても怖い書店、といったものがあるのです、クワバラクワバラ。<br>それから消費者である私は、帯が千切れていたりカヴァーがひしゃげている本を見ると、これまたとても困ります。<br>まず、少しでも綺麗に直して書架に戻します。<br>明らかにお客さんが間違えて棚に戻してしまったようなものがあれば、しかるべき場所（？）に入れ替えたりします、余計なお世話の客です。<br>問題は、そのちょっと千切れたりした本が自分の欲しいものだった場合です。ホントに困ります、迷います。<br>入手できることがわかっているものは、たとえばインターネットで注文すれば美装のものが届くことはわかっています。できればそうしたい。でも私が今これを買わなかったら、「こいつ」はこのままここに肩身の狭い想いをしながら並んでいなければならないのだ・・・。<br>そう思うと不憫で、つい手に取ってしまうのです。<br>直せるほどのものであれば補修し、あるいは帯を取って畳んで本に挟んだりして、自分の書架に並べてしまいます。<br>帯のでデザインや謳い文句がどうにも気に入らないものもありますが、たとえばクラフト・エヴィング商會のもののように、帯もまた（帯こそを）大事にしたい装丁の本もある。<br>完全な書店、ちょいと傷んだ本、いずれも難儀なものです。<br>いつか、郡山みどり書房を訪ねてみたいものです。<br>相当なる覚悟をもって。

なんというオソロシイ企画！ でも、ほんとうに「地図にない国」かどうか、私たちは一人残らず「不完全な地図」しか持っておらず、どこかに一葉だけ「完全な地図」があるかもしれないから・・・などと考え始めると、やはりオソロシイ。<br>とりあえず「みどり書房」は入手可能な地図に記載されていそうなので、ますますオソロシイ。<br>「・・は、なさそうだ」というとき、長崎弁では「なかごとある」と言います。「ない如くである」ということですが、これは「ない」のか「ある」のか、幼少の私はいつまでも悩みました。<br>今でも悩んでいます、ないかの如くにあるものは、あるのか、ないのか？？<br>そのうち「誰も買いたくない本フェア」とかやってください。売り上げ０冊目標なんて、ムリですね、失礼しました。
空虹さん、こんにちは。いつもお世話になっています。<br>峯岸さんはちゃんとメールを転送してくださっていたのですが、私が粗忽で粗忽で粗忽なため返信できずにいました。ごめんなさい。<br>作品については使えるものならどうぞお使いください。<br>.<br>話は変わりますが、クラフト・エヴィング商會は、ぼくもピンとこないほうです。<br>しかし、商會や吉田兄弟をとてもとても好きだという知人は、例外なく私的に信頼できる読み手なので、「私とどことなく似通った人達は必要とするが、私には必要でない成分があるのだな」と査定しております。同様の成分はいしいいしんじや稲垣足穂にもあるようです。<br>書店員というものは、自分の趣味は捨象して御客様に憑依しないと有効な接客ができないケースがままあるのですが、その伝で書店員視点で言うと、クラフト・エヴィング商會は自分には不足しているセンスによって非常に好きな作家です。ピンときませんが、たくさん持っています。
